Impressions Of A New Job #2

They don’t wash their handtossed pans! Well, they do…once a month! I was doing dishes last night, and was about to wash a stack of handtossed pans, and one of the guy’s freaked out, saying they were seasoned like a cast iron skillet.
Do you know why cast iron is ’seasoned’?
Cast iron, is well, cast iron. The seasoning part helps the food stick to it less. Being its made of cast iron, the surface of pan isn’t as smooth as say, stainless steel, which pizza pans are made of.
See Pizza Hut has this nifty stuff called Food Release which you spray onto pans to make them not stick….it’s kind of like Pam. Even though they still have to spray food release on these month-old-unwashed-pans they still don’t wash them. It almost defies logic!
I remember why I never ate at Pizza Hut as a kid…I got really sick from their food once upon a time.
