Who-Knows-How-Many-Days Without Internet/Welcome to PLAN B

by Bobosan on Sep.14, 2006, under Main

I’ve lost it. I’ve gone over the edge. Something has to change. Something will change. Or else. Or else…bad things will happen. I’ve been cooped up in this small room for weeks. I’m going crazy, and I might even be hearing voices. Well, I lied about the voices, but hell, I have cabin feaver bad. I think I’m suffering from MMORPG withdrawl. I need my MMORPG to keep sane. I need my Internet to talk to friends, downlaoad movies, and just stay in touch with whats going on in Iraq via Google News and CNN.

I can’t live anymore like this. Tomorrow, I shall spring PLAN B on my father. PLAN B means Internet at all costs. If he won’t be reasonable tomrorow, then he will be cut out of the loop. Yes, I will override him. But I hope he see’s the light. If not, it doesn’t matter. PLAN B will be implented either via a cable modem, or I’ll have to shell out $300 for a router that can be used on Sprint’s broadband network. Oh, thats $300 plus $60 a month for 3-megabit service. Compare that to cable at 8 Mb/s for $50 a month.

Is it excessive? Hell yes it is. The Internet is so pervasive in our lives now days. I can’t live anymore without my hourly checking of email, Instant Messaging, and Slashdot. I might be addicted. But if everyone else needs the Internet, why should I be any different? I’m not. No longer shall this be held over my head. This is life, Father. You get overturned at every action. Remember, I always win. Aaron-Mother-Fucking-Kennedy Always Wins. Or so he claims. Hell, even I don’t win, I put some political spin on it to seem like I did.

Tommorrow we shall see how well PLAN B works out.

Intial Shock

by Bobosan on Sep.12, 2006, under Main

I had CNN going on in the background, using it as something to listen to while I surfed the Internet.  Well, they cut off to CNN International for a 15-second blip about the US Embassy in Damascus being attacked, and then they flipped back to a recorded copy of Larry King.  I started freaking out, because I wanted to know more.  I couldn’t find anything online about the attacks, and all the other news channels had pre-recorded programs running.

A few minutes later, CNN cuts back to it’s International broadcast, only to go to commercial break right before the anchor tell’s me what is happening.  God….I hate this shit.  Why can’t CNN COVER THE FUCKING NEWS?
