Poker,man.

So I just played in my first tournament ever in Poker! I’ve been adicted to Pokerstars lately, and despite being down $25 or so, it’s been pretty fun. I was in this tourney for about an hour, having a blast, and ended up finishing 430 out of 5000 people. Not bad for my first try I think. I don’t know what it is, but it’s very entertaining sitting in front of my laptop, looking at cards, and playing for real cash. I’ve never really gambled before two weeks ago, and although I’m not extremely good at it, I think I’m getting the hand. See, poker is very multi-dimensional, and I like that. I can win even if I just bluff my off, and the other regular Joe thinks I have some uber card combo. I like that.
In twenty minutes or so, I’m going to play another tourney. This one is a little bit different, its a pot limit insted of no-limit. What it means is that it will take a little longer to knock people out, it won’t be as exciting, but it should still be fun. That’s why we do things isnt? To have fun?
Still, I don’t think after my intial $50 is used up that I will put more money in to my account. It’s something I really shouldn’t be spending my money on. I mean, I’m still paying $15 a month for World of Warcraft, and although I play that alot too, I don’t want to get addicted to gambling. I don’t need another addiction quite yet!
Well, I’m off to grab a quick drink and an even quicker smoke, and then I will be at my computer, dreaming a poker dream!
