A fresh, new begining.

I recently got a new laptop, a Dell Inspirion 2200. In the past I have posted mostly on a LiveJournal site, but I want something new. Im tired of having all my old whiney posts to be read, along with the ones that dont make sense because I was either drunk or tired. So this is the new it.
I’ve been talking to a girl…well, a lady rather. She’s 34, and is 13 years older than I. We talked for 5 hours on the phone tonight, and it was amazing. Her name is Toni, and she has a 13 year old son named Brendan. The kid reminds me of myself at his age, except the only difference is he’s a cutter.
He has reason to cut. Toni was just released from a womans shelter. Her junkie boyfriend decided to use her head as a soccer ball one night , and she left him. Poor girl has seen a lot through her years, from an Alcoholic father , to a mother who decided she wanted to swallow a bullet insted of facing life. I dont know what to tell her half the time.
Still, I like talking to her about things in general. I don’t think things are serious with her, but she’s amazing to talk to and hear. She lives in Maryland, which, oddly enough, I’ve never been to. I told her maybe once she gets some cash saved up, I’ll bop up and visit her. It would be fun, and would be something different.
Classes are going well. I skipped out on Speech wednesday and slept in. My teacher is kind enough that she MADE everyone in the class email me get better emails. I was quite shocked to get 32 emails when I signed into my college email account. I really didn’t like it . I dont think you should force a person to email another, and quite frankly, I dont know any of those people well enough to actually email them if they were sick.
My speech topic for Monday is going to be Indenity Theft. I had my MasterCard info get let out in the open two weeks ago and I’m still sans card today. All I have to speak on Monday is a 3-4 minute intro so it shouldn’t be too hard. Besides, I have first hand knowlege of the topic , which is always good.
Its way too late here, and I need my sleep. I want to try to keep this blog updated a lot more than my LJ one. I just don’t know who will have this one…it’s very nice to start out how I originally did…publishing my thoughts. I also want to try to be more political with a Blogger blog, something LiveJournal really didnt feel right doing. Perhaps because LJ is composed of sixteen-year-old-my-life-is-ending-screw-everyone-else type people. Perhaps I can share a little bit more about my life the past few weeks when I wake up from about six hours of sleep.
