Recon is dead. 3 Years of work snuffed out in a 2 hour guild meeting. Aledar disbanding to preserve the name. It’s bullshit. We’re reforming under the name Awakened, but today is truly a dark day for E’ci. The light that was Reconstructed has now come to an end. Darkness is now all that prevails. We can never be what we were. We can never live up to what Recon’s name was. We can never be the same. Once again, we must adapt and move on. I have about 5 more weeks on this server, and then I will walk. Everquest 2 will be my new vanguard. Greykor will be resurected on that. The espirit of Recon will go with me…for its something I will carry on.
I hope Awakened is much closer then we were now. As I sat in the meeting, discussing plans for the formation of a new guild…I was sad. I was sad because I took all these people for granted, and now that Recon is gone, I dont have much time left to meet them. Im on borrowed time.
Tomorrow, brings a promise of hapiness, for tonight we weep.

Greykor – answered my own question. Just gotta keep reading it seems. Oddly about 4 years after this post I got one of those emails from EQ saying that they reactivated my account and I could play for free for a week. E’ci was no longer a server, although Bytor and myself remained members of Reconstructed, I believe there was one other, Kage perhaps? To this day I will say that the time spent in Recon was some of the most fun I ever had in a video game.

Yes, all these years later, and nothing has ever come close to even beating Everquest for the amount of fun it gave. WOW, Eve….SWTOR…all are nothing compared to that damn game that sucked up so much of our time so long ago.
